This kit fits the Daihatsu Hijet Truck S100, S110, S120, S130. The kit pairs three ignition coils with three NGK spark plugs to renew the complete spark side of the EF-GS or EF-ZS twin cam. On a truck of this age the coils have usually never been touched, and a weak coil drags down a fresh set of plugs within months. Doing all six parts at once brings back clean starts and a steady idle.
Confirm your engine before you order
This part is engine-specific and fits the EF-GS (EFGS) or EF-ZS (EFZS) engine only. Before ordering, find your VIN / data plate in the engine bay and confirm the line marked ENGINE reads EF-GS (EFGS) or EF-ZS (EFZS). The photo below shows where to look.
Example plate shown is an EF-NS engine (chassis S100P, 659cc). Yours shows your own code on the same ENGINE line - for this part it must read EF-GS (EFGS) or EF-ZS (EFZS).

Frequently asked questions
Why does this engine take three ignition coils?
The EF is a three-cylinder engine, and this setup gives each cylinder its own coil. Replacing all three keeps the spark even instead of strong on one hole and weak on the next.
How often should ignition parts be replaced?
Spark plugs are due about every 30,000 km. The coils have no schedule of their own. Typical life is 130,000 to 190,000 km, or eight to twelve years, so check them whenever the plugs come out and replace any that run weak.
Do I need special tools to install this?
Ordinary hand tools handle it. Use a plug socket with the rubber insert so the porcelain survives, and put a little dielectric grease in each boot to keep water out.

I'm very happy with the exhaust. It sounds great. I was juggling between this one and Special K's behind the bumper exhaust and I ultimately decided on this one. Installation was easy and the only thing I would recommend is getting some washers because the holes on the flange for the growler are ovaled out to allow for adjusting the fitment. Without the washers the flange nuts were just a bit to small.
If you own an Acty - you owe it to your vehicle to buy one of the GhostFlow air filters! Easy to install & tremendous performance increase along with a surprising boost in MPG (KPL:)...all I did was install this & switched to running premium fuel grade and Funsiz3 is tracking 9 mpg increase! Uphill performance also took a significant boost! Just do it!!!
