No. It is a pre-OBD2 distributor ignition - fit the parts and start the engine.
How do I know my ignition parts are due?
Pop the distributor cap for cracks, carbon tracks, and burned contacts, read the plug tips, and look for arcing on the wires at night. A damp-start misfire usually means the whole ignition side is tired.
Should I set the timing after this?
Swapping the cap, rotor, and wires does not change base timing; only moving the distributor does, so just keep the firing order.
