Exactly the same as the rusty and very used cigarette lighter that was in my truck and didn't work very well due to poor conductivity from the rust. New one, not surprisingly, works like new. Install is super easy, both wires pull straight off (no twisting, etc. necessary, just be gentle and pull from the metal crimp, not the wire) and the outer housing unscrews to release the inner housing and it comes right out. Unironically could probably swap it in under a minute. I do recommend getting a mirror to place on the floor of the cab instead of trying to shove your head down between the seats and the dash and also some sort of light to see what you're doing.
